Water
sports
The beach has its own Blue Flag as well as fulltime professional
lifeguards on duty all the time. It is great for all kinds of
water sports made available by 'Algarve Water sports' and 'The
Beach Hut' the two centres on the beach.
Transport
The local buses and taxi's are very good, the bus stop is
situated in the square by the church and the local taxi driver
is always on hand.
Facilities
of the Ocean Club and Waterside Village
There are three pools available on the site including one
adult pool for 18 years and over. They are all set in beautiful
landscaped gardens with a pool bar.
Tennis
The Ocean Club is renowned for its tennis coaching at the
famous Jonathan Markson Tennis centre. There are five all
weather tennis courts, two of which are floodlit. Prices are
approx 8 euros per hour and a small hire charge for rackets.
Golf
The Ocean Club has negotiated special rates for golfers at
the local golf courses, which are second to none. Pennina's
championship course is about 15 minutes drive. Palmeres and
Parque da Floresta are 10 minutes, and the closest is the
Boavista Resort, which is just outside of Luz.
Supermarkets
There is an excellent supermarket that sells most English
products, fresh meat, fish and vegetables just 100 yards down
the road from the apartment.
